The Minister for the Public Service and Administration Adv Ngoako Ramatlhodi has expressed deep sadness at the passing of former Democratic Alliance Member of Parliament Ms. Dene Smuts.
Minister Ramatlhodi joins the nation in mourning the veteran DA MP and has conveyed his condolences to Ms. Smuts’ family.
At the time when Minister Ramatlhodi chaired the Justice and Constitutional Development Portfolio Committee, Ms. Smuts served as member of that Committee.
In his message, the Minister said “Her immense contribution in the foundation and development of our Constitution as the supreme law of the Republic remains unparalleled." The Minister says while serving in the Justice and Constitutional Development Committee, Ms Smuts had focused her energy towards a common goal of nation building, development and moving South Africa forward.
