Minister Nkwinti accompanied by Minister Molewa to officiate at the financial compensation ceremony for claims on the Kruger National Park
The Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform Mr Gugile Nkwinti will hand over financial compensation to communities in respect of various land claims on the Kruger National Park. Minister Nkwinti will be accompanied by the Minister of Environmental Affairs, Mrs Edna Molewa, and the Chief Executive of SANParks, Mr Fundisile Mketeni.
The event is part of Phase One of the settlement of land claims by communities from Mpumalanga and Limpopo. The award of financial compensation is in line with the 2008 Cabinet Decision on equitable redress as the approved option for the settlement of the land claim on the Kruger National Park.
