The Department of Water and Sanitation Minister, Ms Nomvula Mokonyane will give the keynote address during the opening of International Symposium on Appropriate Technology to ensure proper development, operation and maintenance of dams in developing countries, this being part of the programme during the International Conference On Large Dams (ICOLD).
The keynote address will be followed by a media conference also at the same venue. The occasion is the main highlight of the ongoing IICOLD conference, which started on Monday 16 and ends on Friday, 20 May 2016.
The International Commission on Large Dams Conference hosts an conference in one of the commission's member states. It is aimed at getting together experts to share professional information and knowledge of the design, construction, maintenance, and impact of large dams.
