Members of the media are invited to a press briefing by the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Adv. Michael Masutha which will reflect on the following issues:-
1. Parole consideration for offenders sentenced to life (Lifers)
2. Status of political offenders
3. Progress on the review of the Parole System (current challenges, short comings and what the process intends to address).
4. Litigation by lifers and how identified shortcomings in the system will be addressed (proposals discussed and adopted at the recent Legal Conference).
The media briefing will take place as follows:
