Minister Malusi Gigaba and Mayor Sputla Ramokgopa interact with Tshwane commuters, 4 Mar

The Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba, accompanied by the Mayor of Tshwane, Kgosientso Ramokgopa, will interact with commuters and hawkers in Tshwane tomorrow in a bid to raise awareness around the voter registration processes.

The IEC has declared 5 to 6 March 2016 as Voter Registration Weekend andBN in line with that decision, Home Affairs offices will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 08h00 to 17h00 to coincide with IEC operational hours. In this regard, the early morning blitz by Minister Gigaba and Mayor Ramokgopa serves to, amongst others, encourage commuters to register to vote; apply for IDs; visit Home Affairs to collect identity documents; and verify their voting details.
