The Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba will on Tuesday 13 September 2016 announce his decision on the visit to South Africa by American Pastor, Steven Anderson.
On 5 September 2016, the representatives of the Lesbian, Gays, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) community handed over two petitions with more than 60 000 signatures to Minister Gigaba following a meeting to discuss the intended visit. Pastor Anderson has been accused of hate speech against the LGBTI community.
