Minister Fikile Mbalula’s release of the third report of the Eminent Persons Group (EPG) on transformation in sport
In 2014 the Eminent Persons Group (EPG) on Sport Transformation submitted the first Transformation report to the Minister of Sport and Recreation. This pilot study focusing on five National Federations; Rugby, Cricket, Football, Athletics and Netball and was then released to the public in March of 2014. This paved way for the signing of Transformation Agreements with the ‘Big 5’.
For the third wave of evaluation nineteen National Federations have been included for the 2016 report. The Minister will publicly announce the findings, observations and recommendations of the report at a stakeholder engagement gathering.
