Minister Dipuo Peters convenes road user behaviour colloquium, 20 Jun

As part of ongoing efforts that support nation-wide road safety activities, Transport Minister Dipuo Peters and the South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL), in partnership with the University of Pretoria, will convene a road user behaviour colloquium.

The colloquium will create a platform for all relevant stakeholders to engage with key experts in the field of road safety behavioural research. Youth stakeholders that will be invited, particularly, include high school learners, educators and students from the different faculties at the university.

SANRAL appointed the University of Pretoria to lead the research in road safety behaviour. The three year study delivered insights into the knowledge and behaviour of learners as pedestrians, passengers and public transport users. Minister Peters will deliver the keynote address and there will also be a panel discussion on the SANRAL three year study.
