The Minister of Public Enterprises, Lynne Brown, has conveyed her condolences to the family of the contract worker who died in an incident at Medupi Power Station, in Lephalale today.
“I am saddened by the death of the contract worker and would like to express my sympathy to his family and colleagues.
“I have requested Eskom to continuously review its safety procedures on site to prevent and minimise a recurrence.
“Although the deceased is a contract worker, Eskom has to ensure that all contractors comply with all safety measures at their sites,” said Minister Brown.
