Minister Dlamini to host the closing event of Child Protection Week campaign in Amersfoort, Mpumalanga Province

Minister of Social Development, Bathabile Dlamini, will on Saturday 4 June 2016, host the closing event of Child Protection Week campaign under the theme "Let Us All Protect Children to Move South Africa Forward"

The launch of the 2016 Child Protection Week campaign which was supported by Tiger Brands took place on 29 May 2016 in Klerksdorp.

Children, teachers, parents have expected to attend and interact with the leadership on issues that are affecting them.

Since its inception in 1997, the Child Protection Week campaign has and continues to raise awareness, educate and mobilise all sectors of the society to holistically develop, care and protect children.

Child Protection Week also seeks to protect, promote and raise awareness about children’s rights as outlined in the Constitution and Children’s Act 38 of 2005.
