Police hosts Forensic Services Conference in Pretoria, 27 Feb to 2 Mar

Media briefing on the 4th Forensic Services Conference hosted by the SAPS

The South African Police Service is presently hosting a four-day Forensic Services Conference in Pretoria under the theme “Fundamentals of Forensic Evidence”.

The conference is taking place at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Pretoria between 27 February and 2 March 2017.

Local and international experts are making presentations on a wide range of forensic-related topics with a view to sharing knowledge and best practices.

This conference has brought together some of the finest  experts with a view to advancing forensic based criminal investigations as forensic evidence often plays a critical role in not only proving the guilt of a suspect, but also in exonerating the innocent.

Members of the media are cordially invited to a media briefing to be hosted by the Acting National Commissioner of the SAPS, Lieutenant General Khomotso Phahlane, as follows:
