MEC Mahlangu doing well in hospital
The Gauteng Health MEC, Ms Qedani Mahlangu, is recuperating at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital and likely to be discharged in due course. The MEC was admitted at the said hospital on Wednesday, 3 February 2016 afternoon, after conducting site visits to different facilities in Tshwane as a build-up process to the Gauteng Government’s community outreach programme, Ntirhisano.
She complained about her health just before a public meeting scheduled for 15h00 to be addressed by the Premier and the Mayor of Tshwane, and as such she was rushed to the hospital and her treating doctors admitted her for observation and investigation to determine why she did not feel well.
“After observations, her treating doctors, are confident that, she will be discharged home in due course, we wish to thank our health professionals for sterling work,” said Department of Health spokesperson, Steve Mabona.
