MEC Mthandeni Dlungwana hands over multi-million rand school in Umzimkhulu, 18 Aug

MEC Dlungwana to restore dignity to the community of Umzimkhulu by handing over a multi-million rand school

A multi-million rand school will officially be opened by the MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal Honourable Mthandeni Dlungwana in UMzimkhulu, Harry Gwala District this Friday, 18 August 2017.

The Department of Education in KwaZulu-Natal continues to work hard to ensure that dignity is restored to education in communities around our province through the provision of quality education infrastructure. Education is the number one priority of government and it is a weapon to break the generational poverty we have in KwaZulu-Natal.

“Our ultimate goal is to ensure that, eventually, all schools have the basic infrastructure, to create an environment which is conducive to learning and teaching.” - remarked Dlungwana

The event will take place as follows:

Venue: INdawana area, Ward 01 UMzimkhulu Local Municipality, Harry Gwala District
Time: 10h00-13h00

MEC Dlungwana will be accompanied by the Head of Education Department in KwaZulu-Natal Dr Enoch Nzama, UMzimkhulu Local Municipality Mayor Cllr M Mpabanga, and Harry Gwala District Mayor Cllr Mluleki Ndobe, as he officially hands the school over to the community of UMzimkhulu in Harry Gwala District.
