“The complaint of Africans, however, is not only that they are poor and whites are rich, but that the laws which are made by the whites are designed to preserve this situation. There are two ways to break out of poverty. The first is by formal education and the second is by the worker acquiring a greater skill at his work…..” These are the words of former president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela from the dock in 1964.
Indeed the first way out of poverty is through education. To uphold and make sure the Province works to the realisation of Mandela goals, the MEC for Education Ishmael Kgetjepe finishes Mandela Month programme by officially handing over of more education facilities. Since the beginning of the month, the MEC was hard at work in different schools including the official hand-over of Frans Mohlala in Capricorn. The MEC continues with his Mandela month programme as follows:

At Bosele Special School, the MEC will do different tasks including cleaning of the yard and painting. He will be accompanied by official from the provincial and district offices. Community members in these areas and the media houses are invited to attend the event.
The MEC for Education encourages all community members to keep supporting education of their children as Mandela once said, “Without education, your children can never really meet the challenges they will face. So it is very important to give children education and explain that they should play a role for their country”
