The Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba, will on Friday, 14 October 2016, announce new initiatives in relation to the Lesotho Special Permit (LSP) application process.
The announcement will be preceded by a technical task meeting between officials from the Departments of Home Affairs in Lesotho and South Africa, led by Director-General, Mkuseli Apleni. In September 2016, the Lesotho government requested Minister Gigaba to extend the deadline for applications to accommodate those who could not apply during the stipulated period- a request Minister Gigaba confirmed considering.
The Minister will also announce his decision at the media briefing.
