Limpopo Education on Sowetan reports of “Lazy teachers”

Department not aware of “lazy” teachers in Ramojapodi

The Department of Education is not aware of teachers who are reported to be “Lazy” by Sowetan newspaper of today on pages 8-9. The report alleges that teachers of Ramojapudi Primary School in Shongwane are “lazy” and this results in parents transferring their kids to Mpepule Primary School. A large number of learners in Mpepule is from Shongwane village.

Mpepule Primary School is in plan to be merged with other small schools from farms around the area. The merging centre identified is Ga-Phakula. There are legal issues surrounding land ownership which are being resolved.

Parents and the Schools Management teams are advised to report to the department any challenges to the process of teaching and learning. This includes where parents believe teaching and learning does not proceed properly in schools.
