Limpopo Premier to restore dignity of Lesetjia Ramphele

The Premier of Limpopo, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will this Friday, 16 September 2016 officially hand over a house to an elderly beneficiary in Moletjie. Mr Lesetja Johannes Ramphele previously stayed in a single corrugated iron shack that he built himself.

Through the Department of Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA), Mr Ramphele has been allocated a house. The Provincial Government continues to restore dignity of destitute families to ensure that they too can enjoy the benefits of our democracy and live a better life.

The Premier and his Executive Council will proceed to Mamadimo sport ground to engage communities at an EXCO outreach programme. EXCO Outreach programmes were put to hold due to the local government elections. The outreach will be held in Moletjie Ga Ramphele under Polokwane Municipality.

EXCO is reinforcement of government’s effort to encourage public participation in affairs of governance. As the Limpopo Provincial Government, we remain committed to listening to our community challenges and intervene.

The aim of the outreach programme to create a platform for communities to raise issues of service delivery with government leadership and ensure appropriate interventions.

The Premier will be accompanied by Members of Executive Councils, Executive Mayor of Capricorn District John Mpe, Executive Mayor of Polokwane Thembi Nkadimeng, Acting Director-General of our Province and senior government officials.
