The National Library of South Africa commemorate Dr Phillemon Buti Skhosana, IsiNdebele word smith
The National Library of South Africa in partnership with the Mpumalanga Department of Sports Culture and Recreation, Thembisile Hani Local Municipality and Isiyalo Writer Association will be commemorating Dr Phillemon Buti Skhosana, the late IsiNdebele word smith.
Dr Skhosana Memorial lecture will be delivered on the 30 November 2016 at KwaMhlanga Legislative Hall. Traditional leaders, government officials, academics, authors, family members and local communities will grace this occasion with jubilation for the role he played in dedicating his life in preserving and promoting IsiNdebele language and culture national and international.
Dr Skhosana was a classical author who published numerous IsiNdebele books and served as chairperson of IsiNdebele language Board under the PanSALB umbrella.
