International Gynaecological Awareness Day 2016

10 September

The International Gynaecological Awareness Day is all about empowering people to lift the veil on gynaecological issues by celebrating the beauty that is a woman’s feminity.

This day is the brainchild of Kath Mazzella, a courageous vulval cancer survivor who has turned her pain into GAIN and is working hard to ensure that women have the support and the voice they need to cope with gynaecological conditions.

Aims of International GYN Awareness Day

  • To bring professionals and health consumers together for the betterment of Gynaecological / Sexual Health Awareness;
  • To continue to share knowledge and experiences with the community in an effort to remove cultural and sexual taboos and build confidence within oneself;
  • To raise awareness of gynaecological and sexual health;
  • To provide information on specific gynaecological issues in an open and friendly forum.
