Department of Human Settlements in Partnership with the Sekhukhune District Municipality hosts the Youth Opportunities Expo
The Department of Human Settlements in partnership with Limpopo Government and Sekhukhune District Municipality will host the Youth Opportunities Expo in Sekhukhune, Limpopo. The aim of the expo is to empower and develop the youth with economic opportunities.
The Youth Expo will be preceded by the sod turning to mark the start of the building of ten houses in the area; five of the houses will be built using Alternative Building Material. About 160 young people from the surrounding villages will be trained on different aspects of building a house like brick- laying, painting, plastering and artisan skills.
The Expo will target school going youths, matriculants, tertiary students and young entrepreneurs, with opportunities at TVET colleges, Universities, and Sector Education and Training Agencies (SETAs) as well as organisations that offer national and international scholarships and business opportunities.
