MEC Faith Mazibuko hosts breakfast session with families of Boipatong massacre victims, 29 Jul

Gauteng remembers Boipatong massacre victims 

June 17 marked 25 years since the brutal killing of 39 victims of Boipatong Massacre in 1992.

The victims lost their lives during the height of political violence that engulfed many communities across South Africa just before the birth of democracy in the country. 

To remember them, Gauteng MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Faith Mazibuko will on Saturday, 29 July 2017 be having a breakfast session with the families of Boipatong Massacre victims.

Venue: Boipatong Memorial and Youth Centre

Meanwhile, a weeklong exhibition programme will take place at Boipatong Memorial and Youth Centre from 31 July – 4 August 2017. Communities and school children from across Sedibeng are expected to visit the facility to learn more about the history of the massacre. Other activities include theatre plays and cultural performances.
