Gauteng at Play: Sport and Recreation activities for the week and weekend
Efforts by the Gauteng Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation to promote healthy lifestyles and develop sporting champions continue throughout the Province. The department has also partnered with several stakeholders to carry out some of the programmes.

The awards are the highest accolades given to learners, educators and schools who have excelled in sport. The announcement of Finalist is a ceremony to announce finalist who will be invited for the Gauteng School Sport Awards.

- Event : Gauteng Primary School Athletics Championship
The Provincial games are a culmination of the Schools league programme at regional level. The learners representing their districts, will be taking each other on for top honours and for a space in Team Gauteng to represent the province at the National Championships later in March.
