Media briefing to introduce newly appointed Gauteng Legislature Senior Management
Honourable Speaker of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL), Ntombi Mekgwe, invites all media to a briefing aimed at introducing the newly appointed Gauteng Legislature senior management.
This is a follow-up to the briefing held on 7th July 2016, when Speaker Mekgwe addressed the media- providing outcomes of the investigation on anonymous letter allegations. During the briefing, the Hon. Speaker also announced the senior executive positions that had become vacant on 30 June 2016 when the contractual period ended.
GPL has since concluded the recruitment process, and Hon. Speaker wishes to announce these appointments as committed in the last briefing.
Hon. Speaker will introduce the newly appointed Executive Directors and Directors, including the newly established Directorate of Leadership and Governance. This approach of bringing in new incumbents to the GPL is part of efforts to preserve institutional excellence in serving the people of Gauteng, as Political leadership needs reliable administrative support in delivering on GPL’s mandates - ensuring GPL remains a tribune of the people.
