Filling of IEC post on Committee’s agenda
The Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs will on Tuesday consider a report of candidates recommended by a panel led by the Chief Justice to fill a vacancy within the Electoral Commission. The vacancy arose following the resignation of Ms Reanette Taljaard.
Also on the Committee’s agenda is the consideration of the Immigration Amendment Bill as well as to receive a briefing by the Department of Home Affairs on their 2016/2017 Annual Performance Plan.
