34th Meeting of SADC Energy Ministers
The Department of Energy cordially invites members of the media to attend the open session on energy issues when the Government of the Republic of South Africa hosts the 34th Meeting of SADC Energy Ministers on 21 – 24 July 2015.
The open session of the meeting to which the media are invited will commence at 09h00 on Tuesday 21st July 2015 at the Sandton Convention Centre.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the achievements and challenges faced by SADC countries. The SADC Energy Ministers Meeting is a statutory gathering of the Committee of Energy Ministers in terms of the SADC Energy Protocol of 1996. The Meeting is hosted annually on a rotational basis. It brings together Ministers of Energy from the SADC Member States to deliberate on energy issues affecting the region.
The session will take place as follows:
