Deputy Ministers Buti Manamela and Enver Surty monitor effectiveness of ICT connectivity in schools, 18 Aug

The Deputy Minister of Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME), Buti Manamela and his counterpart in Department of Basic Education (DBE), Enver Surty will visit two schools in Mogalakwena area at Mahwelereng Township. Their visit is aimed at monitoring the impact of the ICT connection the two departments provided to the two schools in the area.

The schools are DG Tsebe and EDL Rampola Secondary Schools. Following the approval by the Education Department Committee, the infrastructure, Operation Phakisa ICT main labs were rolled out in different areas. The improvement on the access to ICT has proven to be effective in assisting both educators and learners by providing ease access to curriculum content.

There are 400 schools with access to ICT facilities around the Province. This means they can use e-mails, visit websites and other social communication routes.
