In commemorating the Mandela Month, the Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Postal Services will, in partnership with the Free State Department of Economic Development, Free State Province, Thabo Mofutsanyane District Municipality and the Maluti A Phofung TVET College will host a Youth ICT Workshop & Career Exhibition this Saturday.
The main purpose of this outreach programme is to create awareness about the opportunities that are available in the ICT. The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by state owned entities and stakeholders that will include USASSA, SAPO, SITA, BBI, MTN, and Vodacom who will all be exhibiting their work and also engage the youth.
The information sharing work will empower three groups, those in school including a special school, post school, those who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET Group).
