Deputy Minister Buti Manamela on service delivery monitoring visits in Limpopo

Deputy Minister for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr Buti Manamela conducted monitoring visits in the Province of Limpopo. The visit coincided with the observance of the 16 days of activism for no violence against women and children as well as the Parliamentary constituency period.

It is for this reason that Deputy Minister spent time in his constituency of Modimolle as well as other parts of the Province namely Bela-Bela and the Capricorn District Municipality.

A Frontline Service Delivery Monitoring (FSDM) visit was also conducted by the Deputy Minister at the Phagameng Clinic. Deputy Minister found an unclean health facility that did not meet the norms and standards of a health facility and patients not being treated in a proper manner.

"It is the small things that make people feel that they matter.  Our service delivery efforts must be felt by our citizens. This includes the cleanliness of our facilities and the care and respect that we give to people who use our facilities." said Deputy Minister Manamela on inspecting services at Phagameng clinic.

Deputy Minister concluded the monitoring visit by assuring the staff at Phagameng clinic that he would not wait for the next Imbizo week to pay a visit again. Instead he would pay more unannounced visits to ensure that the government is responsive to the most basic needs of communities.
