The Department of Defence and Military Veterans (DOD&MV) will host the Annual Defence Industry Day session for 2017 on Friday, 23 June 2017 at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in Pretoria. The day`s programme is scheduled to commence at 07:00 for 08:00.
The 2017 Defence Industry day session has been earmarked by the DOD&MV to develop and or preserve what has been identified as Sovereign Strategic Defence Capabilities with the co-operation and understanding of the South African Defence Industry (SADI). The session will also be utilised to provide the relevant Defence Industry stakeholders with a comprehensive report on the progress and achievements of both the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) and the Defence Industry Day since implementation, as per the Defence Review 2014, Chapter 15.
