MEC Helen Sauls-August attends graduation ceremony of public officials, 7 Jul

Community representatives graduate on Human Settlements short learning programmes in Eastern Cape

Traditional Leaders, councillors and municipal officials who have completed Human Settlements Short Learning Programmes are set to graduate from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University on the 7th of July 2016. MEC Helen Sauls-August will attend the graduation ceremony.

The Short Learning Programme was launched last November as part of Hands-On-Support provided to all Municipalities, Traditional Leaders and officials. It forms part of professionalising the Human Settlements Sector to create better planning that will result in better cities and villages in the Province.

The community representatives learned in various fields such as sustainable human settlements, land policy and legislation and construction management.

The graduation ceremony will be held as follows:
