Minister Faith Muthambi addresses Methodist Church Central District’s Young Men’s Guild, 6 Mar

Minister of Communications Ms Faith Muthambi will address the Annual Convention of the Methodist Church Central District’s 46th Young Men’s Guild (YMG) on the 6th of March 2016. The convention will take place at the Mogale City Methodist Church in Kagiso, West Rand.

“I’m honoured to be afforded the opportunity of talking to young men who are or will soon be leaders of their own families, about the continued role and relevance of faith and spirituality in our communities. For me this is especially important given that globally we are seeing a growing number of young people who eschew religion,” said Muthambi.

She added: “Religion, coupled with our traditional cultural norms and values, has an important role in the formation of the character and nature of the society that we seek to build.”

The Minister was invited by Methodist Church of Southern Central District to address them about various issues from spiritual matters to various government programmes, including the Digital Migration  Project, and outline how young people and other community members can benefit from such interventions.

The Central District Young Africa Men’s Guild will be holding its 2016 Convention under the theme: Living an Upright Life in an Upside Down World.
