The MEC for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs in Mpumalanga, Ms. Refilwe Mtshweni is on a voter education programme to encourage eligible voters to participate on the Local Government elections on the 3rd of August 2016. The campaign is in line with the mandate of COGTA to ensure the participation of citizens in the democratic process to deepen democracy.
Officials from the IEC will form part of the campaign to assist with the verification process of details whilst officials from Home Affairs will assist with the application process for ID documents.
