Free State hosts Career Information Session for learners with disabilities, 12 Aug

The Office on the Status of Disabled Persons for in the department of the Premier will host a Career Information Session for Grade 11 leaners and matriculants with disabilities, tomorrow 12 August, at the University of the Free State.

One of the toughest challenges for people with disabilities is to find suitable employment. It is even tougher if people with disabilities do not have the necessary qualifications to unlock their full potential. Due to their disability learners have to consider career choices very carefully.

The Career Information Session aims to assist learners with disabilities in making the right career choices. The career information session is an attempt to equip them with knowledge on various career choices and types of learning institutions they could attend. It is estimated that about 130 learners with disabilities together with at least two teachers per school will attend.

The details of the event are as follows:

Date: Friday 12 August 2016
