Botswana suspect to appear for theft of motor vehicle
A 38-year-old Botswana national is expected to appear in the Mahikeng Magistrates’ Court today, 24 October 2016, for theft of motor vehicle.
The suspect’s appearance in court comes after his arrest by Mahikeng Flying Squad on Saturday, 22 October 2016, at Ramatlabama Port of Entry for theft of motor vehicle, a white Toyota Fortuner with Botswana registration number. According to information, the suspect was arrested when entering the South African border from Botswana when police searched his vehicle. Preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was reported stolen in Gaborone, Botswana early this month.
Investigation into the matter continues.
