Deputy Minister Elizabeth Thabethe hosts graduation ceremony for Bavumile Skills Development Programme beneficiaries, 6 and 12 Dec

Deputy Minister Thabethe host a graduation ceremony for Bavumile Skills Development Programme beneficiaries and also commemorates 16 Days of Activism with women in Tzaneen and Mbombela

The Deputy Minister of Small Business Development, Ms Elizabeth Thabethe will be hosting the graduation ceremony of women trained and provided with sewing machines through skills development programme known as Bavumile by the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD). 

The Deputy Minister will also take the opportunity to commemorate the 16 days of activism against women and children abuse during the same event in both Limpopo and Mpumalanga province. 

The beneficiaries of the Bavumile Skills Development programme will be awarded SETA accredited certificates.

Limpopo Province

The Deputy Minister said that the Department has facilitated a 20 days training session of about 50 women on the Bavumile Skills Development Programme in February this year and the objective is to ensure that women are brought to the mainstream economy so they can attain economic emancipation.
