The Department of Energy continues to engage Petroleum Retailers (Service stations/Garage Operators) on the Petroleum Retail B-BBEE Audit through workshops which commenced on 18 November 2016.
The Retail Audit aims to audit and measure the extent of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) at petroleum retail level in the country as informed by the Petroleum Products Amendment Act, 1977 and the Liquid Fuels Charter in line with the Broad Based Economic Empowerment Act, 2003 as amended and the revised Codes of Good Practice.
The workshops seek to orientate the auditees on the requirements and processes of the audit.
