President Jacob Zuma has declared Special Official Funerals Category 1 for the late Mr Moses Kotane and Mr JB Marks, whose remains will be repatriated from the city of Moscow in Russian Federation on the 1st March 2015.
This category of the funeral is reserved for distinguished persons specifically designated by the President of the Republic of South Africa.
The President of the Republic of South Africa has instructed that the National Flag fly at half-mast at every flag station in the country from the 9 March until the evening of the 22nd March 2015.
The Special Official Funeral of the late Mr Moses Kotane will be held on the 14th March 2015 in Pella, North West and the Special Official Funeral of the late Mr JB Marks will be on the 22nd March 2015 in Ventersdorp, North West.
The South African National Defence Force will also provide the military honours.
