May I start by thanking iSilo SamaBandla for gracing the State of the Province Address on the 28th February 2013. His presence on the day was of critical importance to all of us because this is the final year of this current administration The occasion afforded us the opportunity once more to receive the guidance and leadership that our King always gives us.

Chairperson, I want to state our recognition and appreciation of the efforts of Isilo Sarna Bandla as a peacemaker, a farmer and a promoter for the creation of sustainable livelihoods and the role the King has always played in going far beyond the normal call of duty to enhance the Provincial Government's programmes of service delivery.
The Royal Household has a catalytic effect on the promotion of tourism and building unity, thus creating social conditions conducive to enhancing the economic growth and prosperity of the Province. We note especially His Majesty's role in diffusing the resurgence of political tensions during the politically volatile times experienced in KZN.
