Young people are encouraged to volunteer at their nearest hospitals and clinics during the strike period

The Limpopo Youth Commission is calling upon all young people to form part of the volunteers who are assisting at our state hospitals and clinics. Humanity calls on all of us to extend a helping hand at this time of suffering and adversity endured by our patients in the health care facilities during the worker’s strike period.

Young people are encouraged to go out in their numbers to assist in their local hospitals and clinics by feeding the sick, cleaning, administrative work, washing dishes and linen and transporting patients within the hospitals.

The Youth Commission staff members have also responded to the call to assist during this period by assisting two hospitals thus far, the Lebowakgomo and Zebediela hospitals. The commission is also going to be visiting other hospitals as part of ensuring that it leads by example and a clarion call is send to all young people to do the same.

The commission hopes that the parties at loggerheads (government and unions) will resolve the impasse speedily for normal life and services to be restored to our communities.
