World cup children safety camp at Roads and Public Works

In order to strengthen family relations and to curb absenteeism during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the Department of Roads and Public Works will be having a 2010 World Cup children safety camp at its head office in Bhisho.

The camp has started today and will proceed until 25 June. The department has targeted 300 children of employees to join us for the camp.

Children are very important and a big part of their parent's lives and their safety is critically important.

Even though 2010 soccer games will bring about many spin-offs to the country's economy, the negative impact they will cause to productivity, cannot be underestimated.

It is for this reason that organisations have to proactively begin to identify remedial measures that will ensure that some of the factors that will adversely influence productivity are given attention.
