Water and Sanitation on War on Leaks training programme

The War on Leaks training programme has commenced

The Department of Water and Sanitation working together with Rand Water as the Implementing Agent and the Energy and Water SETA as the training entity have set the War on Leaks training programme in motion from yesterday Monday 28th September 2015.

The DWS Deputy Minister Pamela Tshwete met with the contingent of recruits that are receiving training in East London yesterday. Tshwete encouraged the recruits to take the training seriously as it has great potential to not only assist the country to arrest the high levels of unaccounted for water country-wide. The recruits, mainly the youth, will benefit from skills development as well as employment opportunities post the training.

The DWS, Rand Water and EWSETA experienced teething problems on the first day of training which all parties are working towards resolving.
