The MEC for Education in KwaZulu-Natal, Ms Peggy Nkonyeni, would like to condemn the incident that appeared both in print and electronic media, where a woman is seen beating a school girl in school uniform. The uniform is identified as that of Celumusa High School in the uMzinyathi District.
“We want to condemn this barbaric and gruesome act in the strongest possible terms. For a woman to beat another woman like that over an alleged relationship with a man is unacceptable and such act has no place in a modern society. As a department we are confident that the police are going to treat this with the urgency and the sensitivity it deserves,” said MEC Nkonyeni.
