The Eastern Cape Department of Education (ECDoE) MEC, Mandla Makupula is saddened by the passing on of three Makhwaleni Junior Secondary school learners.The three learners Lubabalo Mbangi (Grade four), Velisani Mzotela (Grade five) and Sinesipho Vikwa (Grade six) will be buried on Thursday the 17th of October at Makhwaleni Village. The three learners drowned on the Umzivumbu River.
The MEC sends his condolences to the affected families, school community and the village at large. “Your loss is our country’s loss as these youngsters might have been tomorrow’s leaders. The department shares your pain”.
