On Monday, 21 October 2013, a member of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) deployed in Sudan, is alleged to have committed suicide. The incident happened at the Katum Base, Sudan.
The name of the deceased cannot be disclosed until the next-of-kin have been informed.
