Fifteen occupants dead in Cradock minibus crash in the Eastern Cape

The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) has dispatched a team of accident investigators to probe a crash that has claimed 15 lives in the Eastern Cape.

The Fifteen (15) occupants died when a minibus taxi collided head on with a truck on the N10 highway between Middelburg and Cradock. 

The minibus taxi was travelling from Cradock entering Middelburg when it collided with a Volvo articulated truck that was travelling from Middelburg.

Both vehicles collided head on and all 15 occupants from the minibus taxi were killed with nine (9) females, four (4) males and two (2) children including the driver of the taxi.

Emergency responders transported the injured truck driver to nearby hospital for treatment of injuries sustained from the crash.

Our thoughts are with those affected by the crash, their loved ones, and friends. We salute those who answered the call of duty and assisted the victims of the crash.
