Contrary to the wide speculation, the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Lindiwe Sisulu would like to reiterate that the appearance and briefing to the Portfolio Committee on Defence and Military Veterans by ARMSCOR and the Castle Control on their annual reports for financial year 2009/10 will take place as planned tomorrow as per the committee's schedule.
Senior management of both entities will present the annual reports to the Portfolio Committee on Defence and Military Veterans as required and planned in the programme of Parliament and thus there will be no postponement or rescheduling of any kind.
The minister will not be present during these presentations as there is a scheduled Cabinet meeting that she has to attend. There is therefore no truth whatsoever in the suggestion that the appearance and presentation of the annual reports by ARMSCOR and the Castle Control Board will be postponed.
