KwaZulu-Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu has expressed his shock following the collapse of a mall in Tongaat late this afternoon.
"We express our condolences to the family of the person who died in this horrific accident. We also wish those who were injured prompt recovery."
"I am currently liaising with the MEC for Health Dr Sbongiseni Dhlomo just to ensure that those who were injured receive quality healthcare in our public health facilities.
Importantly, I am confident that all the relevant departments such as the Department of Labour and Ethekwini Municipality will help speed up an investigation into the causes of this accident."
