Police launches manhunt of armed robbers in Limpopo

Eight armed robbers on the loose

The police in Limpopo have launched a manhunt in pursuit of eight suspected armed robbers who raided three farms at Tagana’s Hoek, near Letsitele on Saturday.

The gang started their reign of terror around midday when they attacked and raped a 32-year-old woman, before helping themselves to two rifles, a pistol and R300 in cash. Their next stop was at another farm just few metres away.

In this the three members of the gang allegedly raped a 59-year-old Zimbabwean maid. After satisfying their lust the suspect proceeded to another farm where they only managed to steal electrical appliances including DVDs, before disappearing in the bushes on foot.

Whilst running away the suspects dropped some of the stolen and the money. Two of the suspects have been identified and their arrest is imminent. Community members are urged to inform the police if they see people selling suspected stolen appliances.
