Woman's amputated body found in bushes

The police in Limpopo are investigating a case of murder after a woman’s lifeless body was found lying in the bushes at Mandlikazi village near Letsitele on Friday morning.

She has been identified as a 20-year-old woman from Relela village, about eight kilometres from where the body was found. The body had its arms tied at the back, hands cut off and the deceased’s house keys and cellphone were placed inside her stomach which was cut open.

The name of the deceased will only be released after her next of kin has been notified. The motive of the killing has not been established and the unknown suspects are still at large. Police are not ruling out the possibilities of this being a ritual-related murder. Investigations are underway and police urge anyone with information relating to the incident to contact Captain Mashilo Notoane at 082 469 0900.
