Powers and privileges committee opens proceedings to media
The Powers and Privileges Committee at its first sitting today resolved to open the disciplinary proceedings against twenty (20) EFF Members of Parliament to the public and media.
This decision was made in terms of Sub-rule (3) (a) of 193(2) of the Rules of the National Assembly because the matter was deemed to be of public interest.
The media is now allowed to attend the meeting.
